Ingredients:
- 3 medium potatoes
- 1 – 1/2 cups green peas
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 1 large onion, sliced thin
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 inch ginger
- 1 tbsp coriander seeds
- 1 tbsp cumin seeds
- 3 dry red chilies
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 3 large tomatoes, cut into small cubes
- 1 cup full cream yogurt
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Boil, peeled and cut potatoes small-medium cubes and keep aside
- Boil the green peas and keep aside
- Grind garlic, ginger, coriander seeds, cumin seeds and red chilies into fine paste
- Heat the ghee in a sauce pan
- Saute the sliced onions till they come light brown in color
- Add the spice paste, turmeric powder and salt and saute for 3-4 minutes
- Add the tomatoes, yogurt, gently mix well, bring to boil and then on medium heat, let it simmer for 3-4 minutes
- Add boiled and cut potatoes, boiled peas, stir well and let it simmer for 4-5 minutes on low / medium heat
- Serve hot with an Indian bread (paratha or naan) or rice
